Day-by-Day Itinerary
Fly Nairobi – Masai Mara National Reserve
7:30 AM. Check in at Wilson Airport, Nairobi's bush-flying hub. The small Cessna climbs over the city and within minutes the Great Rift Valley spreads below — ancient volcanic craters, patchwork farmland, and the distant shimmer of soda lakes. As the aircraft descends toward the Mara airstrip, golden grasslands stretch to the horizon.
Your driver-guide meets you on the tarmac with a private 4x4 Land Cruiser, and game viewing starts immediately. The drive to your luxury tented camp is itself a safari — zebra herds part as you pass, and your guide scans for big cats. Check in, settle into your tent, and enjoy lunch with savannah views.
The afternoon game drive pushes into the reserve's heart. The Mara holds one of Africa's highest lion concentrations, and your guide knows where the prides rest. We cruise the Talek River banks where hippos wallow and crocodiles bask, then sweep across the open plains as light turns golden. Return to camp for sunset drinks and dinner under the African sky.

Morning Safari & Fly to Nairobi
5:45 AM. Rise before the sun for your final game drive. Cool air streams through the open vehicle as your guide drives into the half-light — hyenas lope toward their dens, and you may catch a leopard silhouetted against first light.
As the sun breaks the horizon, the plains come alive. Wildebeest and zebra move, Thomson's gazelles spring through dewy grass, and birds of prey take to warming thermals. Your guide targets key sighting areas — the kopjes where cheetahs survey the plains, and marsh edges where lion prides prepare for morning hunts.
Return to camp by 8:30 AM for a full breakfast. Check out, then your guide drives to the airstrip for your late-morning return flight. Board the aircraft and watch the Mara recede — the winding river, scattered herds, the vast golden carpet of savannah.
Touch down at Wilson Airport before lunch. Transfer to Jomo Kenyatta Airport for onward flights, or head to your city hotel. Two days, one night — proof that the shortest Mara safari can deliver extraordinary encounters.
