Day-by-Day Itinerary
Nairobi to Masai Mara
6:00 AM. Your driver-guide collects you from your Nairobi hotel and you head west in your private 4x4 safari vehicle. The road climbs through the green highlands before the Great Rift Valley escarpment reveals itself — a vast ancient valley stretching to the horizon. Pause at the viewpoint for photos, then descend through fertile farmland toward Narok. Beyond town, the landscape transforms into rolling Maasai grassland, red-earth tracks replacing tarmac. Maasai herdsmen wrapped in crimson shukas guide their cattle along the roadside. By late morning you arrive at the Sekenani Gate and the Mara's endless plains unfold before you. Check into your safari lodge for lunch, then head out for an extended afternoon game drive. Your guide steers toward the Talek River corridor, where lion prides sprawl in the shade of croton bushes and elephants amble through the open woodland. Zebra, wildebeest, topi, and impala graze in vast mixed herds across the golden savannah. As the sun drops low, casting long shadows across the plains, you return to your lodge for dinner under the African sky.

Masai Mara to Nairobi
5:45 AM. Step out into the cool dawn air for your early morning game drive — the golden hour when predators are most active. Your guide heads toward the open plains where cheetahs launch their explosive hunts and hyenas return from a night of scavenging. Watch as the rising sun paints the Mara grasslands in shades of copper and amber. Scan the riverbanks for hippos surfacing with great splashes and crocodiles lying motionless on the warm sand. With luck, a leopard may be spotted draped over a branch in the riverine forest. By 9:00 AM, return to your lodge for a full breakfast, pack up, and begin the scenic drive back to Nairobi. The journey retraces the route through Maasai country and the Rift Valley, with a comfort stop along the way. Arrive in Nairobi by approximately 4:00–5:00 PM, with drop-off at your hotel, the airport, or another location of your choice.
