Day-by-Day Itinerary
Fly to Amboseli
8:00 AM. Check in at Wilson Airport in Nairobi for your scenic flight to Amboseli. Within minutes of takeoff you're climbing above the city, and as the aircraft turns south the landscape unfolds below — the Athi Plains, Maasai homesteads, and then the breathtaking sight of Mount Kilimanjaro rising from the clouds ahead. The 45-minute flight is a safari in itself. You touch down at Amboseli airstrip where your guide is waiting, and the first elephants are already visible from the tarmac. A short transfer brings you to your safari lodge for a welcome lunch. By early afternoon you're on your first game drive. The open plains of Amboseli stretch to the horizon, and herds of elephants — dozens at a time — cross the dusty landscape with Kilimanjaro's snow-capped summit towering behind them. Your guide heads to the Enkongo Narok swamp where hippos surface among dense birdlife: pelicans, martial eagles, and vivid superb starlings. As the afternoon light turns golden, you climb Observation Hill for a panoramic view of the entire park before returning to your lodge for sundowners and dinner.

Return to Nairobi
5:30 AM. The early morning offers Amboseli's finest moment — Kilimanjaro stands clear against the dawn sky, its glaciers glowing pink, while elephant families emerge from the swamps in the soft golden light. Your guide navigates the open plains where cheetahs hunt in the short grass and zebra herds scatter at every sound. You explore the southern fringes of the park, where lion prides rest in the scrub and jackals dart between termite mounds. After a couple of hours immersed in this landscape, you return to your lodge for a leisurely breakfast. Late morning allows time to relax and soak in the views from your lodge before a final lunch. In the early afternoon you're transferred to the airstrip for your return flight to Wilson Airport, watching Kilimanjaro recede behind you as the aircraft climbs north toward Nairobi. You arrive back in the city by mid-afternoon.
