Day 1

Nairobi – Masai Mara National Reserve

## 270km, approx 5-6 hrs 6:00 AM. Meet your fellow travelers at your Nairobi pickup point and climb aboard the shared safari minivan. The drive takes you along the escarpment road with sweeping views of the Great Rift Valley. We stop at a viewpoint where the valley drops away beneath you — a perfect photo opportunity. Continuing through the town of Narok, your guide points out Maasai herdsmen in bright-red shukas tending cattle along the roadside. Arrive at the Masai Mara around midday, check into your camp, and enjoy a hearty lunch. The afternoon game drive takes you across the Mara's golden savannah — vast grasslands stretching to the horizon, dotted with flat-topped acacia trees. Lion prides rest in the shade, and herds of elephants, zebra, and wildebeest roam in impressive numbers. Your guide navigates toward the Talek River as the light softens into a warm African sunset. Return to camp for dinner under the stars.

Day 2

Full Day – Masai Mara Game Drives

## Full day in the reserve 6:30 AM. Rise with the dawn and head out for the early morning drive — the best time for predator sightings. Near Musiara Marsh, cheetahs stalk through the dew-kissed grass while hyenas return from their nightly hunts. By mid-morning, we explore deeper into the reserve, scanning riverine thickets along the Talek and Mara Rivers for leopards draped over branches. Hippos wallow in murky pools below, snorting and jostling for space. Your guide shares stories of the ecosystem and helps you spot over 450 bird species — lilac-breasted rollers, martial eagles, and more. Picnic lunch in the bush — sandwiches and fruit enjoyed on the savannah with wildlife all around. The camaraderie of your small group makes these moments special. Afternoon drives take us toward the Mara Triangle, where vast herds of buffalo graze alongside topi and eland. Between July and October, this is Great Migration territory — millions of wildebeest streaming across the plains. As the sun dips low, we search for a legendary Mara sunset before returning to camp.

Day 3

Masai Mara – Nairobi

## 270km, approx 5-6 hrs return 6:00 AM. Make the most of your last morning with an early game drive as the reserve stirs to life. The golden light is a photographer's dream — long shadows stretch across the plains, and predators are active before the heat sets in. Your guide tracks down any Big Five you haven't yet spotted. By 9:00 AM, return to camp for breakfast, then pack up and say goodbye to the Mara. The return journey retraces your route through Narok and along the Rift Valley escarpment. We stop for refreshments and leg-stretching breaks, and your guide answers any last questions about the wildlife. Arrive in Nairobi late afternoon, around 4:00–5:00 PM. Drop-off at your hotel, the airport, or another location of your choice. You leave with memories of golden savannahs, close-up wildlife encounters, and new friendships forged on the open plains.
